A Picture of Family

This is a poem that was written by a gentleman in our church. Jack is a gifted and talented artist with a burning passion for Jesus Christ. In a previous post, I wrote that Tim and the boys had spent the day pouring cement at Steve's property. Well, I thought they were only pouring cement, but it seems as though they were doing so much more.

At Steve's we,
Mixed concrete
and cemented relationships.
We, poured concrete into forms,
and formed bonds.
We, worked hard in the sunshine,
And let the Son shine in us.
We, finished the foundation of a house,
So a home could get started.
We, poured in sweat
and pulled out memories.
We, learned the value of family
by being family.
We, blessed God
God blessed us.
