Then Sings My Soul Saturdays Meme
One song that has ministered to me is the song Blessed Be Your Name. During a time in my life, when my days were long and my nights were sleepless, I would sing this song over and over in worship to our gracious God.

Tim and I have been blessed with six wonderful, living children. We also have 3 sons who have gone on to be with Jesus. Excruciating pain was involved with the death of each precious baby. This song helped bring healing and comfort as I struggled through losing our third son, Micah John Walker. Micah was born on September 5, 2007...just 8 months ago.

The song Blessed Be Your Name is a constant reminder of how God is the giver and the taker of life. I have been in the land that is plentiful, where the streams of abundance flow and I have been in the desert place and in the wilderness. In all of these places God has faithfully met me and carried me through. It was a hard road to travel and sometimes it still is, but I am constantly reminded how great He is and how much He loves me. It is through this song that I remember Micah and remember that God's plans are perfect.

We love this song for the same reason. Actually, at first, we couldn't even sing it- it was too tough.

I think of your babies often. :)
Thanks for posting this!

Rebecca, I'm so sorry that you had to go through this. Thomas was born on Sept. 5th. It makes me sad to think while we were celebrating his birthday you were dealing with such great loss. This is such a wonderful testimony of your faith in our Lord. I pray that God will contiune to heal you and use you to bless others.

I often cry through this song. It makes my LOVELY singing voice kind of coughy and hiccupy. Okay, okay, I would like to blame it on being all choked up. Have you asked Tim about our duet yet?:)

I think of your boys often as well. It seems when I am in the land of happy blessing that I don't need the Lord so much. When I am completely broken I sense my need of Him to enable me to breath.

I love you so very much, my friend.

Rebecca,
I'm so glad you have joined us in TSMS. I am getting to know you through reading some of your old post. I hope to have time to read more. I'm sorry for your losses but am so thankful you know that the name of the Lord is to be blessed and praised no matter what the outcome of any of our circumstances. He is a great God!
