For Today
January 25, 2010
Outside my window…it is still fairly dark here with a few raindrops falling all around.
I am thinking…how wonderful it is that our children are healthy.
I am thankful for…enough food to eat.
I am wearing…snowflake jammie pants and Horn Creek sweatshirt...and of course, my favorite Costco socks.
I am remembering…what it was like to be a single mom and thanking God for the husband he gave to me.
I am going…to spend some one-on-one time with Katie today. I think quality time may be her love language and I want to make sure her tank if full.
I am reading…Love is a Decision by Gary Smalley and John Trent.
I am hoping…for a productive week.
On my mind…praying with my husband.
From the learning rooms…Tim and I are trying to decide what to do. My computer doesn't have enough RAM for Matthew's new curriculum. Opps!
Noticing that…Sam is on a weird schedule. He has already been up, had breakfast, and is now back down for his morning nap. It is only 7:23.
Pondering this word…discipleship.
From the kitchen…haven't yet decided what is on the menu for today. I am cooking dinner for friends tonight, so I'd better come up with a plan soon.
Around the house…all children are still in bed. Normally, they would be up and busily working on their chores by this time, but I am letting them sleep just a bit longer. The quietness is very nice.
One of my favorite things…when Larah rubs my face and asks, "Does this feel good?"
From my picture journal…

Isn't it nice to let the kids sleep a bit longer - and you have some quiet time to yourself? Enjoy the week.
