I Love My Kids
>> Wednesday, January 20, 2010
Yesterday afternoon was full of errands. I took the four youngest kids with me as I traipsed around town. It was a good day full of fun, but by 7:00 last night I was really ready to be home. I pulled into the driveway just a bit after seven pleased to see that Matthew and Cayla had cleaned the house and made dinner. We got all the little kids out of the van and in the house, I nursed Sam and put him to bed, and then we sat down to eat a thoughtfully planned out meal. Matthew had prepared scrambled eggs with fried potatoes completed with a glass of cold milk. Cayla had lit several candles and placed them on the table and randomly throughout the house. After everyone had been properly seated and served, Cayla then turned off every light in the house. We enjoyed a delicious dinner by candlelight. It was the perfect way to end my day and definitely an evening to remember.
Thank you, Cayla and Matthew, for giving me the joy of coming home. I love you!!!

Now that is something that makes me smile for sure! I can remember doing things like that for mom and dad when we were little and feeling so good about it.
