Goodbye Dependable Friend
>> Friday, January 15, 2010
Today was a very sad (and yet exciting) day for the Washington Walkers. Our family had to say goodbye to a very near and dear friend. A friend that has traveled many miles with us and has never caused us any grief. A friend that has been in our lives for well over 7 years and has always been good to us. She has been a part of numerous adventures and she has participated in the making of many memories. Although she has been replaced, she will never be forgotten and I will forever hold her dear to my heart. For without her, life would have been extremely difficult and boring, and quite possibly, impossible.
She took us to Texas and Colorado so we could be with those we love the most. She made countless trips to the library, the store and out town. She was there when I had lunch with a friend or a picnic with the family. She made numerous trips to the midwife's office and safely carried home 3 newborn babies. She was good for a drive, whether I needed some time alone or a date with one or more kids. She sang to me when I needed music and she was quiet when I needed her to be. She was forgiving when she was mistreated and abused. She took me to the beach, to the zoo, to the hospital, to friend's homes, to church, to the airport. I was able to depend on her in any type of weather (snow, rain, wind, hail, sunshine, and even a tornado) and in any type of climate (desert, coastal regions, rain forest, mountains, valleys). She was available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 364 days a year. Anytime I needed her, she was there.
Goodbye friend. You will be missed and remembered!

Thank you for your years of service.
May your transition from this family to the next be smooth and happy.
You will never be forgotten.

Where did she go?
She went to the auction. It was time to replace her with a new one. Hopefully our new one will be just as dependable and faithful as she was.
you crack me up
I've met your "new" friend. She is definately classier and sleeker than the old one. Still I hope you won't do that with ALL your friends. I certainly hope I will not be replaced with a younger model with a better body :)
