THE SIMPLE WOMAN’S DAYBOOK
FOR TODAY
MARCH 9, 2009
Outside My Window...it is still dark. We have a new dusting of snow on the cold ground.
I am thinking...that the coffee I am brewing smells mighty fine. I am hoping to enjoy a cup by myself before the kids start rising from their beds.
From the learning rooms...we are taking this week off to get some things done around the house. Lucas will keep up with his reading and Justin will continue to work on his deadlines, but other than that we are on Spring "Cleaning" Break.
I am thankful for...each one of my children. They bless me daily.
From the kitchen...I'm thinking about making French Breakfast Puffs for breakfast (depending on how long this post takes), left over spaghetti for lunch and baked potatoes for dinner. We will delight in fresh carrots from our garden as a snack.
I am wearing...my Cabela's slippers and a purple dress that my husband finds simply unattractive. He only has to suffer through it for about one more week. Then it will be no more. This purple piece of flowing cloth is very comfy and non confining...important criteria in the last weeks of pregnancy.
I am creating...a response to an email that I received this past week. A response that heeds much thought, prayer and guidance from the Lord.
I am going...to enjoy my last few moments, hours, days of being pregnant. There is no feeling like the feeling of life inside my body. I am really, really, really ready to hold our son, but I am saddened to be done being pregnant. Only our Creator God knows if I will experience such life inside me again. I want to cherish every moment.
I am reading...still working on Mother. It is an easy read and it isn't very long, but I rarely take the time to sit down and just read.
I am hoping...to have a productive and happy week. Even though we are cleaning all week, I am hoping to have fun with great attitudes.
I am hearing...the hum of my computer and the fridge. My house is extremely and unusually quiet.
Around the house...all the children are sleeping. SHHHHH.....
One of my favorite things...a genuine smile.
A few plans for the rest of the week...hopefully a haircut, spring cleaning, AWANAs, a Laura appointment, a cleaning day with my friend Jodie Kyodie and enjoying my home, kiddos and husband.
This is a picture of my niece, Alex, and her pig, UB, at her first ever FFA show. She won second place in her class of showing. Great job, Alex.
To read other Daybooks or to write one of your own, plan a visit over at The Simple Woman. You will be blessed.

I don't know why I have so much trouble leaving you comments on here. I just left a long one, and it disappeared. Silly me....I love that you put a picture of Alex on your blog. That is what my comment was about and about Sam I Am. OH yea, when is your company coming?
Hi Schister,
Our company is coming in on the 17th. We are so very excited to see them. I hope Sam I Am is here before then.
Did I tell you it's SNOWING and SNOWING and SNOWING!!! It is so beautiful. Wish you could be here to enjoy it with us.
Rebecca-I am so excited for you and your family on the upcoming arrival of little Sam. I am sure you know that Tim's Grandpa Walker was James Samuel and HIS Grandpa Walker was Samuel Walker. Please keep all of us informed as you sail through this week. Love you all!!!
Aunt Jeannie
I am praying for you all as you wait upon the Lord for this awesome blessing :) I am so excited!!!!
Love the UB snapshot :) Brings back memories.
Did I ever share with you that when I was in high school we raised a lil ole piglet in the house until it was wiener size--a bit bigger actually. It was almost traumatic for mom and I when the time came for him to live outside ;O My mother even taught him how to shake :O No kiddin'
The whole thing started when the momma pig sat on Zeke-no joke that was his name-and my Aunt was present the night it happened and since she was about 7-8 months pregnant--the pig naturally had to be taken into the house and hand fed while being warmed by the heat of the oven ;) Those where the days ;)Always new we were a bit touched!
Love you all,
Sharon
Tabitha keeps asking for a pig since we saw Charlotte's Web. No! NO! NO! Argh! I get too attached and I enjoy bacon too much to even go there.
Full moon tonight!!!!! Get with it Sam:) I understand about treasuring the life within you.
