I Want Your Knowledge

>> Monday, November 12, 2007

Tim arrived in Gaborone, Africa on time and with his luggage. I have not been able to talk with him, but I did receive an email. It was fairly short...one to let me know he made it. I am not being so pathetic this time. The trip to Dubai was so hard for me, but this one...I am handling a bit better. Okay, now for the real subject on hand.

Vaccinations: To do or not to do???

Those who know me well know that I do things just because that's the way it's always been done. I get stuck in a rut and I am not one for change. But I am facing a challenge and would appreciate your voice as I seek to gain knowledge on such a controversial issue. All of my children, except Larah, are up-to-date on their shots. When Larah was old enough for the routine vaccinations I had to ask myself "Why?" Lately I have been doing research online at www.909shot.com, the National Vaccine Information Center, and reading a book, VACCINES: Are They Really Safe and Effective? by Neil Z. Miller. I am slowly coming to the conclusion that they are unneccesary and potentially dangerous. I have talked to Tim about this subject and I continue to pray, seeking God's guidance. I would also like to hear from my fellow bloggers. Please share your thoughts. If you have other resources than the ones I have listed, I would appreciate those too. Looking forward to your reply.

On a side note: here is a funny look at the flu shot.

wow, at first I mis-read the question, and I thought you were asking "VACATIONS: to take or not to take" and I was like "Duhhhh!"
Now I'm on your train of thought, and I got nothin'. I'll ask my friend who is well-read on the subject and get her to chime in. Love you...
