Springtime Strawberries
>> Sunday, April 27, 2008

This week on the top of her list was planting strawberries. A friend of hers gave her 6 strawberry plants. She dug holes in the planter, placed them in just the right spot, and watered them. Because of her passion to see things grow, Cayla will be faithful to water and pull weeds on a regular basis. And I her mother, her dear sweet mother, will be the recipient of great tasting strawberries in a few months. That is definitely a Homeschool Hi-Light. For more Homeschool Hi-Lights visit Ellen and others @ Fun Learning. It's insightful and encouraging to glean ideas from fellow homeschoolers.

How wonderful! She did a great job getting those planted and tending to them. Thanks for sharing your highlight.
Ooooo, I love homegrown strawberries. It's great that she loves nature so much. You can see so much of God in the outdoors.
You ahd left a comment asking if I home school- no I do not. Unfortunetly, I don't think I've got the patience or the drive for it. But, I definitely am in awe of those of you that do. I know it is a BIG blessing!
Have a fantabulous day- as my daughter would say!! :)
What a great project. Planting strawberries would be a weekly high light here, too.
