Springtime Strawberries

Cayla loves anything that has to do with nature and the outdoors. She enjoys walks, collecting bugs, staring at the clouds and studying their shapes, walking bare foot through grass, mud, and rocks, taking photo after photo after photo after photo of birds, eating on the picnic table when the snow is 6 inches deep…the list could go on and on.

This week on the top of her list was planting strawberries. A friend of hers gave her 6 strawberry plants. She dug holes in the planter, placed them in just the right spot, and watered them. Because of her passion to see things grow, Cayla will be faithful to water and pull weeds on a regular basis. And I her mother, her dear sweet mother, will be the recipient of great tasting strawberries in a few months. That is definitely a Homeschool Hi-Light.
